About Us: Meet The Team
Executive Director
Mike Connell
Mike is a DC and Virginia-based stand-up comedian originally from Long Island, New York. Mike is a USMC veteran of multiple combat deployments and finds humor in darkness, his service, his family, and in his very blue-collar upbringing. He has performed at the DC Comedy Loft, The Port Comedy Club, and other showcases all over the DMV. He was a finalist in the first round of the 2022 Magoobys new comedian of the year competition and a finalist in 14k Comedy's Comedian of the year. His TV credits include Cash Cab when he was 14, where host Ben Bailey threatened to maim him for a joke he made. His clips can be seen on Instagram @Mike_Connell_
Development Director
Dan Kaufman
Ignited his comedy career originally in Tacoma, Washington, Dan Kaufman transplanted to the DC metro; He commands the stage with warm, smirking irreverence. His unapologetic wit and twisted commentary blindside audiences. Dan has spent years performing up and down the coasts of the U.S. and internationally, from New York City to Washington D.C., to Hawaii, Dubai, and Afghanistan. He is also a stand-up comedy instructor for classes through the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) and producer of the “Real Sober Comedy” series. You can follow him on instagram @DanKaufmanJokes
